Yes—Funnel Runners added proximity push-to-talk in patch 0.35.4. It uses the existing Push to Talk binding, default V on keyboard or Left Shoulder Button on a controller. Patch 0.35.15 then added voice-region selection and a red-X connection indicator for voice failures.
Field note
| Proximity push-to-talk | Added in patch 0.35.4 |
|---|---|
| Default keyboard input | V |
| Default controller input | Left Shoulder Button |
| Voice-region selection | Added to the Create Session flow in patch 0.35.15 |
| Connection feedback | A red X appears above the voice indicator when the voice connection fails |
Field note
The feature now exists, so separate a binding problem from a microphone-input or voice-region problem.
Open the current controls and verify the Push to Talk action before assuming V or the shoulder input was not changed.
Confirm that the microphone indicator responds when the bound input is held.
If the voice indicator shows its connection-failure state, treat that as a voice-session problem rather than a missing keybind.
Use the Create Session voice-region option to match the crew’s location and retest a fresh lobby.
State whether proximity voice, a Walkie-Talkie path, or the entire voice session fails, plus the current build.
